The Good Stuff
The Bad Stuff
The Social Stuff, and
The Biological Stuff

This will take some doing to elaborate, so be patient while I figure out how to say it all.

But I daresay you know what some of the good stuff is - it feels good, it's exciting and fun, and you feel all cuddly and you sleep better and you're less afraid and other good things.

And it's hard to miss the bad stuff - sexually transmitted diseases, unwanted pregnancies, getting fooled, getting dumped.

The biological stuff has endless fascinations which I keep finding out about - the normal process is interesting all by itself, but there are all these...other things which happen. Twins. Losing twins. Hermaphroditic cats. Spontaneous abortions. ("They" say God is ProLife, but I'd like to know why a quarter of pregnancies end too early all by themselves.)

And the social stuff - important to figure out how the good, the bad and the biological fit into the larger family unit, the larger social unit. Can you imagine your boyfriend or girlfriend fitting in to the rest of your life? Will they be a good father, uncle, grandfather, mother, sister, great aunt? Do they "get" you? Do you like their friends? Do they like yours? etc.

What about the cultural stuff? Being a sexually active person initiates you in to a whole world where you get innuendos and the like. You are judged based on your ability to be sexually attractive, and what that is, is, is super-duper culturally dependent. You can be too sexy or not sexy enough. Having sex at various ages with people of various ages can "mean" different things.

Cosmopolitan makes a living out of confusing these categories all up.

That's a good point.

Does "cultural stuff" really need its own category? Isn't it part of "social stuff"?

I really don't know. What do you think?
