This one was told to me by Rachel, Liz's first au pair. Rachel was a wonderful cook, possibly a bit exhuberant with spices, but she didn't really like the icky cleaning up part.
I suggested that "a good cook leaves a clean kitchen," and she suggested that "a good cook has an assistant."
